ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING
This course gives a general awareness of the nature , uses and hazards of asbestos and asbestos containing materials. The interactive session ensures that delegates have an awareness of what information they need to work safely in buildings in which there is the potential for asbestos to be present or its presence is known.
The course looks at the history of the use of asbestos including the array of uses to which it has been put and covers the realisation that the material was a major health hazard. The actual health effects of exposure are covered in detail
The legal requirements around the management of asbestos are discussed including the need for surveys and the procedures to be followed should there be an accidental exposure to Asbestos Containing materials.
If required the course can be assessed by a short end of session test
A course certificate is presented to delegates at the end of the course.
